Hi, I’m Grace.

I value authenticity and candor in my work with clients, and enjoy “real talk.”

My typical client would say they’re high achievers and “successful” on paper, and struggle with symptoms of anxiety, perfectionism, depression, low self esteem, or challenges with relationships and boundaries.

I work with individuals who have a history of relational trauma or injury, are going through grief and loss, or are navigating life transitions and identity changes. I work with couples who are dealing with distress within their relationships, having difficulty communicating, or are looking to deepen their emotional bond. I am LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC affirming.

Erin Peterson, Valued Living Therapy in Edina Minnesota specializes in help for trauma recovery, couples counseling, sex therapy, eating disorder recovery, and perinatal and postpartum parenting concerns.

How I Can Help

My approach to therapy is relational, trauma-informed, and emotion-focussed. I am direct and compassionate, and believe therapy should be collaborative.

I incorporate concepts from Emotion Focused Therapy, Somatic Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, while utilizing other theories and approaches when it is appropriate.
