Hi, I’m Madeline.

As a therapist, I strive for my clients to feel heard, seen, and empowered.

I bring a down to earth, compassionate, and collaborative approach to my work. I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship creates the foundation for healing and growth. I value creating a warm, non-judgmental, and safe space for individuals to build awareness and connect more deeply with their bodies and emotions. I work to help clients tap into their inner strength, breakdown maladaptive patterns, cultivate greater self compassion, and find the right tools and strategies to live a more meaningful life.
Erin Peterson, Valued Living Therapy in Edina Minnesota specializes in help for trauma recovery, couples counseling, sex therapy, eating disorder recovery, and perinatal and postpartum parenting concerns.

How I Can Help

I take a person-centered and strengths-based approach, tailoring treatment to each client’s specific needs. I incorporate components of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Attachment Theory, Systems Theory, Emotion Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. I have specialized training and am a certified perinatal mental health therapist (PMH-C). I am passionate about supporting individual’s navigate the challenges that come with infertility, pregnancy and postpartum. I am equally as passionate about working with young adults and women who are struggling with a big life change/transition, anxiety, perfectionism, identity, chronic stress/burnout, self-esteem, and relationships.

Experience

Madeline is a Psychotherapist and Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with experience working in a variety of settings ranging from mental health crisis response to outpatient therapy clinics. Madeline has completed advanced trainings in Perinatal/Postpartum and Maternal Mental Health and is a Certified Perinatal Mental Health specialist. She holds a Masters of Social Work from University of Saint Thomas, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from College of Saint Benedict.
